On International Women’s Day 2022, Pathway hosted an engaging panel discussion facilitated by Louise Cantillon with special guests Sara O’Donnell, Reece Creed, and Katie O’Driscoll. The conversation focused on how each of the participants breaks bias in their own lives and offered advice to viewers on how to overcome the traditional constraints that can be placed on individuals.
The event had some important takeaways for all teens on how to break bias in their own way. “You are shaping your own life, don’t listen too much to other people, you know what you are capable of. Don’t fall into the trap of thinking that you have to stay in one box, like you can’t step outside, like gender roles or any stereotype, just pretend that they don’t exist and then eventually they won’t, don’t let anyone else’s bias stop you doing what you want to do”, said panelist Sara O’Donnell.
