Pathway Podcast #1 – The Unconventional Route with Mia Doyle

In our first podcast we talk to Mia Doyle a college student studying event management in TUS, about her path to where she is today. After struggling to get the points for her first course in the CAO Mia navigated her other options through our Pathway survey and is now happily studying Event Management in TUS. We have a chat about how she didn’t take the stereotypical route to third level education, the expectation leaving cert students are under, and how to find your true passion.

Pathway Podcast #2 – Healthy Habits for a Healthy Brain

Today we talk to Sarah an amazing young woman who took the leap to create her own businesses which has become an outstanding success. Better known as Saz C PT, Sarah has helped countless people reach their fitness goals through personal training and through her inspiring outlook on life she shares through social media. I wanted to talk to Sarah about how she came up with her business idea, being her own boss and how she helps her client’s health both physically and mentally.

In this episode we talk to Adam Coleman the CEO of Arkyen Creative about how businesses are turning to social media and the internet in general to generate sales. From working his way up to own his own business I want to talk to him about how digital marketing has changed in the last 5 years and could we be seeing the decline of traditional marketing strategies and techniques in favour of the online approach.

After studying Journalism and New Media in UL Aisling has become a familiar face in Irish media through many different mediums. Today we talk to Alice Parkes, a PhD student at the Bernal Institute in University of Limerick. Alice is an advocate for STEM which stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Her goal is to encourage more women and girls to bridge the current gender gap in STEM careers. We covered topics such as why we should be promoting STEM careers, the importance of women and girls feeling valued in this area and what she thinks the future of STEM is going to look like.
